At G4S, we are continuing to play our part in supporting the government in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.

 


The requirement for safety and security is needed right now, so we’re looking to recruit an experienced  Security Manager to join our team to protect and facilitate essential COVID-19 services.

 


The Heathrow MQS Security Manager will be reporting to the G4S management team, responsible for the smooth running of the Airside Security team across the site under the leadership of Operations Director. The Heathrow MQS Security Manager will have a team of Duty Managers reporting into them, who must be overseen and supported to ensure positions are filled, scheduling is correct, and the team are fully briefed to fulfil their roles safely and effectively in line with site requirements. 


The Heathrow MQS Security Manager will support our Airside teams across all Terminals at Heathrow. You will be responsible for the day to day operations Airside at Heathrow, and how it links to other sites and parts of this process. You will report directly to both the client and the Operations Director. You will need to have experience running a team and have the capabilities to support the team to deliver the client’s requirements.

 


Your key responsibilities:

 

 

  • Ensure your team are operating in line with relevant SOP’s, updating and aligning when necessary. Ensure they all have their accreditations (SIA or Avsec training levels) fully up to date and compliant, they have their Airside pass and/or SIA badge (where relevant) with them at all times when on duty and that their uniform is presentable and correct.
  • Stay abreast of and effectively brief all staff of events that are planned for their duty that may affect standard operational requirements i.e. changes to flight schedules, increased passenger loads, airport disruption etc, ensuring appropriate contingency plans are promptly communicated and implemented to adapt to any unexpected bottle necks or issues to maintain and protect high standards of delivery and success
  • Work closely with the client and other key stakeholders, including but not limited to Border Force, Airport Management, other G4S teams, 3rd party suppliers & Client representatives to ensure that the site security measures are being implemented and the assignment instructions are followed. 
  • Attend regular reporting and briefing meetings as necessary with Client and involved parties, presenting and engaging as required confidently and articulately, providing summarised briefings as relevant to the G4S Operations Director and Senior Exec team 
  • Provide an effective point of escalation and resolution of on site issues, while ensuring corresponding incident reporting is effectively produced and distributed
  • Oversee local Management team are monitoring and recording staff performance & training in line with internal, regulatory and/or contractual requirements
  • Ensure the local Management team are instructed and oversee they are appropriately managing resource levels, making sure there is sufficient staff in place prior to any leave taken and being authorised.
  • Prepare site documentation for Audits/Risk Assessments as required.
  • Work with local Security teams and share best practices and knowledge to assist with Security in the local area.
  • Utilise various IT Systems, both desktop and mobile, to manage the site deployment and reporting.

 


The role would normally work 8 hour days Monday to Friday, but with flexibility required depending on operational and Client requirements.

If you have strong customer service skills, security experience and hold your SIA licence, then you can do this!
