40 Hours Per week ( Monday - Fridays 0800-1700/1000-1900)

G4S Patient Transport Services are seeking an enthusiastic individual with clerical experience to join our administration and payroll team based in Barking Havering and Redbridge. 

We transport patients to and from hospital safely, comfortably and on time. We work in partnership with NHS Trusts for the benefit of patients and to provide a high quality service. Our staff are highly trained and our vehicles are clean and well equipped to maintain or improve quality of life whilst patients are in our care.

As an Administrator and Payroll Assistant you will play an essential role to be responsible for payroll processes and various administrative duties including recruitment and purchase orders. Support in administrative functions relating to training, governance and compliance and provide support to cover office based roles.  

 

What’s involved:

  • Payroll processes - Kronos, Workforce, Trent, amendments, calculations and administration

  • Support the Contract Manager and Service Delivery Managers in dealing with the client in relation to reports, quotes and any ad hoc information that is requested.

  • Collate, produce and distribute regular and ad hoc data, information and reports so that individuals and departments/functions receive accurate information and can make informed decisions.

  • Purchase Orders – Creating purchase orders for our suppliers, making sure the finance is accurate, the product/service supplied is validated and supporting documents are attached.

  • Auditing – Internal

  • Provide cover to the department in the absence of any office based staff, fulfilling the duties of that absentee

  • Establish and maintain appropriate records in respect of department administration, to ensure ease of accessibility, to meet contractual requirements and GDPR regulations

  • Recruitment processes – Following and implementing the recruitment process for the local staffing levels for vacancies (Including Interviews)


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of payroll

  • Excellent communication skills with professional attitude and calm disposition.

  • Knowledge of all computer software

  • Knowledge of recruitment

  • Ability to work well with in a team

  • Experience of working in a safeguarding environment and completing safeguarding documentation. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask whilst paying strong attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Patient Transport Services

This role requires the ability to work with vulnerable, frail people, with the need for medical treatment at hospitals in a caring and compassionate way. Because we are dealing with the vulnerable in a patient care environment, a full enhanced DBS check is required.
