The Account Manager will be responsible for supervising the day to day security operations of assigned client site. This position will work on security programs, manage a team of Security officers, site and shift supervisors including the hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll reporting, training, coaching, development and support. The Account Manager will ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect its people and property, and also build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees. This position will ensure all required reporting and contract compliance are met, handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately, and ensure all shift assignments are completed.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Primary liaison between company and client senior management
  • General Operations management; review post orders and make recommendations to corporate security when updates should be considered; review daily log reports and provides pass downs as required; responsible for officers meeting company standards pertaining to quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures including worldwide business standards
  • General Human Resources management; including selection and placement, performance reviews, attendance management, conflict resolution; scheduling, and payroll
  • Review alarm system open/close reports, compile exception reports and forward to appropriate security manager/operations manager for review
  • Provide monthly report to the facilities and corporate security organizations detailing all pertinent activities that have occurred in the previous month concerning any security and safety issues
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan
  • Conduct and document monthly testing of security systems; follow through on any corrections/maintenance issues
  • Maintain and manage inventory of all keys
  • Reports to Operations Director/ General Manager and/or public safety authorities any unusual or suspicious condition detected., i.e., presence of weapons, bomb threats, etc.
  • Investigates reported thefts and vandalism, recommends various security measure to deter such activity
  • Maintains fire and evacuation plan
  • Ensures timely compliance with training and state licensing requirements for officers
  • Maintains current Operations Manual informing all officers of any updates or changes in policies or procedures
  • Responds to power failure, silences the alarm system, makes sure the generator is working, and ensure that customers are in a safe area

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent experience
  • Pass and possess any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must possess a current driver's license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of two (2) years in a management/supervisory role
  • A minimum of five (5) years of security or law enforcement experience

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures; laws of arrest, search and seizure, legal rights of citizens
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations; gather and analyze facts and evidence and prepare reports
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
