As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of the client security program for a strategic customer on behalf of G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. with the objective of providing direction and leadership for contracted services including guarding, receptionist, switchboard operations, patrol services, and other security solutions.  This position oversees operations and is responsible for client service, problem resolution, and service delivery monitoring and enhancements.  The Account Manager deals with countries across many time zones requiring flexibility in working hours to meet requirements and participate in meetings/conference calls.  This role will be responsible for developing and growing a solid relationship with the customer’s senior security executives based in the U.S.

The Account Manager will be directly responsible for and is expected to complete each of the following:

  • Ensure operational expertise and continuous improvement is imbedded in all activities and taught to others
  • Show a business mindset in discussions understanding customer needs, goals, and desired outcomes
  • Balance competing ideas and needs and to help come up with win-win / best solutions for complex situations
  • Demonstrate technical expertise with security applications, hardware, risks, and tools/processes

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the security staff at the client’s facility.   Manage security staff and assist the Site Security Supervisor in managing day-to-day operations; work closely with Facilities and EH&S department to maintain and improve security operations
  • Initiate, coordinate and assume responsibility for benchmarking against best-in-class programs and other G4S global accounts; build and facilitate teamwork and partnerships and the implementation of progressive change
  • Coordinate and/or perform security threat assessments of client facilities using authorized assessment tools; manage and submit work orders for security hardware and software
  • Support G4S business requests for price adjustments
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure G4S operations are performing in accordance with all contract requirements
  • Implement monthly and quarterly contractually agreed key performance indicators to measure and enhance security team effectiveness and performance; ensure that account administration and tactical effectiveness metrics are at optimum levels
  • Meet regularly with key partners and customer, maintain open communication, and collect feedback on the team's performance
  • Maintain healthy and productive relationship with local G4S, appropriately holding to contractually agreed upon SLAs and expectations
  • Create and update protocols for security staff including, but not limited to, alarm management and response, CCTV operation, emergency response, theft, hardware/software malfunction, and day-to-day guard duties
  • Regularly audit and challenge Compliance Manager, shifts, leaders, and officers while assessing readiness in all scenarios (physical security, customer service, emergency response, protection, etc.); ensure and oversee the Compliance Manager and all of his/ her duties
  • Oversee all required training from EMR, Tactical, FA/CPR, Initial training, Continuing Education
  • Provide client with weekly updates including, but not limited to, guard staffing, guard trainings, position postings, security projects, and operational concerns and successes.  Conduct trainings for existing and new staff, and ensure trainings are documented and provided to the client.; ensure security staff is trained and regularly tested on handling medical emergencies
  • Provide quarterly access reports for the client’s local and global locations, and ensure appropriate access is assigned to employees; manage local and global physical badge access system and troubleshoot when needed
  • Perform monthly drills with security staff to prepare for emergencies including, but not limited to, evacuations, fire/smoke response, and active shooter situations.  
  • Perform brief, weekly travel security scenario walk-throughs/table top exercises
  • Provide account management and oversight for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; plans, assigns, and directs work; provide performance feedback, coach associates, and ensure disciplinary actions, as necessary; support staff as appropriate in carrying out their respective responsibilities
  • Perform brief, weekly travel security scenario walk-throughs/table top exercises
  • Assist in investigative work as assigned by the client
  • Oversee all administrative needs (accurate payroll/invoicing, scheduling, training, uniforms, etc.)
  • Respond to after-hours security related emergencies
  • Maintain a clean and professional environment at all times
  • Manage client safety programs
  • Ensure that the Compliance Manager and supervisors are owning officer readiness (flex, regular, temp, etc.), and all officers are 100% ready before taking a post
  • Position G4S for revenue growth with the customer; exploring new opportunities to service their requirements
  • Track and share trending and analysis monthly to RSM and team (tracks and is aware of QBR data)
  • Maintain a bench or pipeline, understand and balance experienced officer skills to maximize productivity while offering growth and cross training to all officers
  • Coordinate with client to support special events or emergency coverage
  • Meet with Compliance Manager and DM monthly to discuss required training and track monthly
  • Meet with employees to discuss progress towards personal goals and offer mentoring, coaching, and resources to help them succeed 


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of security, law enforcement, military or other similar work-related experience
  • Prior experience with physical access control systems and CCTV systems
  • Prior successful experience dealing at the highest levels of large customer organizations
  • Prior operational experience supporting customers
  • Work history must include the demonstration of strong customer service skills
