In this position, you will be responsible for supervising the day to day security operations of an assigned client site. You will work on special projects or security programs, manage a team of Security officers, and site and shift supervisors. Your duties include the hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll reporting, training, coaching, development and support of the team. You will also ensure that the client's site is provided with high quality security services to protect its people and property, and also build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees. In addition, you will ensure all required reporting and contract compliance are met, handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately, and ensure all shift assignments are completed.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Payroll submission and verification
  • Maintain staffing by screening, hiring and training staff
  • Evaluate service quality and initiate any necessary corrective action in a timely manner
  • Establish daily working relationships with site management team, facilities, and maintenance as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all security performance and deliverables around the clock
  • Administer site safety program, worker's compensation and risk management programs as appropriate
  • Coordinate with security vendors; coordinate installation, service and maintenance as needed
  • Update and maintain site standard operating procedures
  • Implement and enforce G4S policies and procedures
  • Create, implement and track security officer training
  • Prepare and coordinate staffing schedule and to meet client requirements
  • Prepare and present necessary information, training, reports, reviews and audit results at scheduled meetings or as requested by client security management
  • Participate in client initiatives and programs, including core teams, conference calls, facility project meetings and/or other site activities

 


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass and possess any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, criminal justice or related field

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory and/or management role
  • A minimum of three (3) years security experience
  • Prior work experience involving security systems such as closed circuit television, Automated Incident Reporting Software, and Card Access Systems

  • Must be at least 18 years old as required by the client contractor, or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing
    • Physical exam

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting; minimal to no stooping or kneeling
