Salary: £39,829 - £41,820 annum + £150/week Call-Out
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Shifts 7am - 16.00 & 08.00 - 17.00 plus required to be on call out 1 week out of 6 weeks.</strong>

G4S Facilities Management is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer (Electrician) for a permanent, full-time role in Oxford. If you are a proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible problem-solver committed to the highest standards of safety and precision within a demanding hospital environment, we want to hear from you. Your expertise will be crucial to ensuring the seamless operation of essential electrical, mechanical, and security systems supporting patient care and critical medical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver crucial planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to a variety of electrical systems, as well as mechanical, and security equipment and services across the hospital site.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on all electrical support systems, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing hospital operations.
- Carry out installations, inspections, and testing to the highest standards, adhering to strict hospital safety protocols, current regulations, and detailed drawings/manuals.

- Maintain and inspect various assets, including internal/external fixtures and fittings, grounds, and access areas.
- Utilise computerised Facilities Management (FM) and Building Management Systems (BMS) for effective control, fault diagnosis, and record-keeping.
- Assist in the development of maintenance routines and procedures, preparing and maintaining relevant technical records.
- Work collaboratively within a team, potentially assisting in the training and development of other maintenance staff and undertaking some multi-trade M&E tasks as required.</li>
- Participate in a rostered on-call system and be available for overtime as needed to support the hospital's critical functions.
Essential
- Detailed knowledge of installed building engineering services.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or C&G 2360 or equivalent, meeting JIB Gold Card criteria).</li>
- Current BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification & LVCP (Low Voltage Competent Person) Appointment.</li>
- Electrical Isolation and Safety understanding.
- An enthusiastic, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong understanding of electrical isolation, safety procedures, and health & safety rules, especially pertinent to live hospital settings</li>
