We now have an opportunity for a Part Time Receptionist to join our Canol team in Cardiff.
Canol provides support and clinical interventions for people with substance and alcohol needs who have been involved with the criminal justice system. This includes people in Police custody, through court-ordered support, and those leaving prison with ongoing community substance use support needs. This role provides vital reception cover in our clinical service in Cardiff (town centre location). In this role, you will greet all people accessing treatment with dignity and warmth, keep daily attendance records are accurate and ensure the environment is welcoming and inclusive. You will work with the wider clinical and support team to ensure the voices of people accessing are heard and respond to daily enquiries.
Some of the key responsibilities are;
- Act as the first point of contact for people accessing the service.
- Ensure everyone attending is made to feel welcome.
- Foster an inclusive environment, where everyone feels their voice and needs are heard.
- Promote a safe environment by ensuring people abide by the respectful spaces policy.
- Work with the clinical team to advise of attendance, both planned and unplanned.
- Work with the psychosocial support team to advise of attendance or concerns.
- Support the central Canol administrator by ensuring daily attendance records and other record systems are accurate and sent.
- Respond to any telephone queries.
- Maintain and update internal databases as required.
- Identify and request any stock or stationery orders.
- Support the Team Leaders and Service Manager to maintain a safe environment and ensure Health and Safety check compliance.
- Participate in training and supervision processes.
- Undertake other duties as appropriate and within the remit of the role.
The successful candidate must be able to evidence previous experience in a similar role, work as part of a team and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
An understanding of GDPR requirements, data security and the principles of equality and diversity are essential. Being a confident communicator, both verbally and in writing you will have an ability to make positive relationships with people.
