Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

As a Valet / Upscale Security Officer, you will provide transportation and parking services at a hospital. You will act as a liaison with field supervision/management and security personnel. You will also be fully engaged in providing uncompromised safety and positive customer/patient experiences by providing valet services for outpatients.

Additional responsibilities:
  • Valet services and responsibilities; promptly respond to customer and guest needs; attentive to special needs of customers and guests; responsibly care for customer vehicle
  • Customer service; greet employees, clients, visitors and others cordially; serves as the customer service liaison between our internal and external customers
  • Conduct safety assessment; observe and report; watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security, biohazard or safety issues
  • Provide daily supplemental Security support services, as work load permits, including "interior common areas" and "exterior ground" as directed by the Security Manager. Security duties include but are not limited to: Observing and Reporting all Safety and Security related events, removing trash and re-lining receptacles, sweeping exterior entrances, glass cleaning, hospital entrance

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

So what does it take to qualify for this great opportunity? We're looking for professional detail-oriented individuals with a talent for effectively assessing/evaluating situations and identifying critical issues.

Here's the minimum you'll need to be a successful Valet / Upscale Security Officer:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Ability to pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • You must be able to drive and park both manual and automatic transmissions
  • You will also need to possess one or more of the following:
    • Associate's degree or higher in any discipline
    • Service in the active duty military, military reserves or National Guard
    • Service in auxiliary police or police cadets
    • Meaningful and verifiable work history
    • Minimum of one year verifiable and successful security experience

Skills Required

You will need the following skills to be a successful Valet / Upscale Security Officer:
  • Proficient mathematical skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to write informatively, clearly and accurately

Other Requirements

  • You must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the State
  • You must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must not have any moving violations

Finally, here's what we'll need from you upon job offer:

  • You must not use illegal drugs. You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Ability to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
  • Ability to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing, if armed or otherwise required
    • Physical exam, if armed or required by client contract

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Driving, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, running, sitting, stooping, reaching, kneeling. May occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
