Job Introduction:

Working on an exciting security planning project for a nuclear new build, the Project Manager will work closely with the Technical Lead, to support effective project delivery, with a focus on managing, tracking, scheduling and integrating the project programme with multiple stakeholder programmes; managing the document control process; ensuring the project is delivered on time and in line with project guidelines, including the quality plan; managing risks to delivery; and producing project reports.

The role is based in Tewkesbury with some travel to London required. Role required to start as soon as possible. 

Role Responsibility:

  • Project scheduling, including integration of schedules from consortium members, using Microsoft Project. Must be able to understand schedules, anticipate delays and challenges and escalate these, tracking deliverables and monitoring outcomes.
  • Maintain the Project Execution Plan, ensuring that it is kept up-to-date.
  • Record and, in coordination with the Technical Lead, manage risks to delivery, maintaining the Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) log.
  • Manage, coordinate and interface with all consortium members to ensure the consistent flow of information and completion of actions.
  • Monitor consortium partners to ensure that project guidelines are adhered to (e.g. quality plan, security plan)
  • Act as the key point of contractor / client interface arranging workshops / document reviews / travel as necessary
  • Assist in the preparation of resource allocation plans.
  • Create and manage a document control system, including the document register, keeping it up-to-date and accurate.
  • Management of project folders using Google shared drive system.
  • Monitor the project’s progress, working closely with partners to ensure that they are delivering to schedule.
  • Produce weekly and monthly project reports
  • Monitor, record and share lessons and best practice
  • Assist with delivery of project assurance regime
  • General project administration including, but not limited, to diary management, arranging meetings, issuing agendas and meeting documents, taking and distributing minutes.
  • Other duties as appropriate to support the furtherance of the project.

  • Degree level education (preferable)

  • Project management, including use of Microsoft Project (essential)


  • Experience of working on CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure) controlled contracts.
  • Experience of working within the nuclear sector.
  • Experience of working within List N or List X environments.
  • Experience of working with document control systems.

Other requirements

  • Government security clearance to SC level or willingness to obtain.
