An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personnel Security Administration Supervisor based at our Hinkley Point C.

Role Responsibility:

The Personnel Security Administration Supervisor will be responsible for the administration duties supporting the Central Vetting Service and coordinating a team of Personnel Security Officers in the Site Vetting Units, who process all pre-employment checks and security clearance applications submitted by contractors and staff, as per the Personnel Security Regime. 

Main responsibilities/tasks that the person would carry out

  • Coordinate the Site Vetting Units (SVUs) capability ensure consistency across all SVUs as appropriate to that site. Assist with forecasts and monitor workloads.
  • Administrative duties in the Central Vetting Service - ensuring emails and logs are actioned efficiently.
  • Provide a focal point for vetting enquiries for various projects.
  • Monitor, data production and reports on the pre-employment and vetting casework of multiple cases;
  • Assist in updating work instructions and personnel security processes and procedures;
  • Interface with key stakeholders in the project, other vetting team members, training, HR, contractors, T1s and Framework providers as appropriate;
  • Assist with ensuring regulatory requirements for security clearances on site are complied with by all staff and contractors.
  • Assist in the provision of support, guidance, training, and development to the SVUs and other partners.
  • Assist in the delivery of audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor service level requirements, statistics and KPI's.
  • Coordinate and assist with efficiency savings in the SVUs and CVS.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Requirements 

  • Previous experience of vetting processes is essential
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Competent IT skills with a working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to adapt and remain flexible
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong,trust-based relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
  • 5 Year Checkable Work History

Ideal Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the following:

  • Experience of leading and supervising teams
  • Experience of training and mentoring
  • Formal training qualification desirable
  • Full Driving License
