Job Introduction:

G4S is currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager for our Electronic Security Systems Division.  Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for accomplishing project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. He/she will ensure that the delivery of systems services to the clients is as per their expectations and in accordance with the contractual obligations, thus contributing to the growth of the Company

Role Responsibility:

  • Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing execution plans, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; invoicing projections; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Lead a multi cultural team of engineers, technicians and helpers.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of installation, commissioning and handing over of the projects to the customer
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, I.T. or equivalent.
  • Should have at least 10-12 years of experience in handling multiple Projects independently
  • Should have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project In-Charge/Manager for a large Integrated Security Installation
  • Proven experience in cost analysis, cost control, quality of work priority
  • Comprehensive knowledge of low current systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Intercom, Gate barriers, Intruder Alarm, Network configuration etc.
  • Proven experience in the system design and implementation of security solutions and techniques in a Commercial, Military or Law Enforcement Role.
  • Reasonable degree of IT Literacy – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD
  • Candidates who are PMP Certified will be given preference. 
  • Must have a valid UAE driving license. 
  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently as befits an important role within a fast growing division.
  • High level of self motivation and an ability to work with a high level of initiative and limited supervision, in high pressure situations.
  • Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and clerical team-members.
  • Strong personality, proficient in customer relationship management
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills
  • Able to lead and inspire a team
