The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Site Supervisor. As a Site Supervisor, you will provide management and oversight while providing safe transportation of involuntary mental health and/or substance abuse patients by use of motor vehicles.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Act as primary liaison between G4S and Client's senior management; oversee customer relations, ensure physical security surveys and post orders are updated regularly
  • General operations management; provide supervision to Security Officers (e.g., implement standard security operations at the site, and ensure compliance through supervision), review disciplinary actions for consistency and propriety
  • General training management; ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met, including maintaining required certifications and attending appropriate training
  • Ensure quality assurance and contract compliance and work to ensure a safety and secure environment for all patients, visitors and staff
  • General human resources management (indirect); coordinate and assist Human Resources personnel on recruiting efforts
  • Scheduling; creating maintaining and communicating schedules to Officers, maintaining overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S
  • Monitor attendance, tardiness, shift changes and overtime usage, reporting any concerns to management
  • Provide bedside guardianship of mental health and/or substance abuse patient
  • Transport, by use of motor vehicle, of mental health and/or substance abuse patients
  • Monitor, supervise and control patient behavior during the operation of the observation center; or restrain by force if necessary and other restraints to prevent the elopement of the patient
  • Communicate effectively and coherently with hospital staff or patients with approved facility communication devices including the telephone system, intercom system, and portable or base radios; demonstrate effective communicative skills with detainees, public and hospital staff

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must possess a current driver's license with no moving violations within the past three (3) years

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
    • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Other

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules to include shifts requiring overnight travel
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
