Job Introduction:

Working within the Hard Services must be highly motivated individual working as part of the Hard Services team delivering key support across the delivery functions on the Hinkley Point C contract, the largest construction site in Europe.

You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining a premier client service and it is expected that the GDA will embrace and adopt an environment of continuous improvement and actively contribute to the success of the department.

The General Duties Assistant may also be expected to both cross train and work within other Hard Services Delivery Lines and the Client Services Team. Within the HPC project agreement are Key Performance Indicators aligned to these services for which the post holder will be responsible for contributing to.

Role Responsibility:

This is an exciting time to join the team at Hinkley Point C, just a year and a half into our ten year contract. Two days are rarely the same, with an extremely diverse task list in a rapidly changing construction environment.

The GDA role is Monday to Friday 39 hours per week and is expected;

  • To work as part of a multi skilled team as designated by the HPC helpdesk team
  • Raise work requests to ensure full traceability of work carried out.
  • Follow Health & Safety Policies and Safe Systems of Work Procedures
  • Testing of building systems.
  • Liaising/collecting from suppliers.
  • Transporting furniture and other assets to and from storage units.
  • Provide holiday/sickness cover within the team
  • Porterage duties
  • Room set up and office moves/workspace re-engineering
  • First line fault fix for Cannon multi-function devices
  • Liaising with Hinkley Point C personnel
  • Ensuring that at all times, the image of the contract reflects the professional image of the Company.

  • Comfortable with manual handling.
  • Ability to carry out customer/client requests.
  • Competent on essential devices ie. stair walker.
  • Driving licence
