Reporting in to the Director of National and Regional Sales, the Business Development Manager, National and Strategic Sales is responsible for leading the overall implementation of sales initiatives to increase business opportunities and generate revenue from key national and regional customers.  This individual will design and implement customer penetration strategies and sales approaches on a national level.

Form meaningful long term sales relationships - Enterprise Deals - Large Nationals, including Financial Institutions and other large government sector opportunities

Meeting and exceeding aggressive annual growth targets for all lines of business

A role of a “hunter” developing net new opportunities in to the Business to meet and/or exceed sales targets

4

Developing meaningful relationships with National clients and prospects, resulting in customer retention strategies and sales approaches for key clients nationally

5

Developing short and long-term sales strategies, resulting in growth of net new opportunities in the market

6

Developing and successful delivery on multiple services in to single clients

7

Salesforce organization – reporting on the health of the sales pipeline

8

Travel nationally as required to support teams and opportunities

 


The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, or a related field and or related security industry experience

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

  • 10-15 years of proven progressive sales leadership experience with a track record demonstrating sustained success in strategic account and business development management.
  • Experience dealing within the public sector, including Provincial, Municipal as well as Federal accounts
  • Proven capability to develop and execute results-oriented strategic and long-range sales across a wide range of vertical markets on a national level.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact well at all levels of a large organization as well as with a varied client base
  • Significant experience leading a strategic sales process and guiding the bid development process
  • Strong pricing strategy experience and contract negotiation skills

Other related attributes that would have enhance hiring consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, or a related field or equivalent business experience
  • Familiarity with service industry business operations, and particular the sales of security solutions
  • Prior experience in sales and/or sales management in the security industry
