Job Introduction:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join the G4S Secure Solutions (UK) team in the Crewe area.

A trained, competent and skilled individual who performs security tasks, ensuring conformance to national compliance standards and both customer and company requirements. Mature self-starter, responsible and positive employee wanted to work on Europe’s largest water contract ever. On boarding onto this project is mandatory with a commitment from both sides to meet the requirements set.

Must be SIA DS licenced and this role is on large, busy complex construction sites. All uniform provided and welfare standards are exceptional.

Please note: Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening checks during their employment.  There is a zero tolerance and any ‘positive’ results and are likely to result in termination of employment. 

Role Responsibility:

  • Performance duties in accordance with Assignment Instructions  and local Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conducting physical searches on both vehicle, personnel and equipment
  • Maintain communications with colleagues and management
  • Follow Supervisor and customer instructions
  • Carry out duties effectively and professionally
  • Deliver excellent customer service, deal with the public professionally
  • Use and maintain company/customer equipment as and when supplied
  • Liase with emergency services, as necessary
  • Assist in the prevention of unlawful acts
  • Timely arrival prior to shift commencement to ensure a thorough handover/takeover of duties on post.

  • Successful completion of relevant training and refresher courses
  • Detection and recognition of Prohibited Items (including test devices and correct implementation of the Actions-On a Find process)
  • Precise recording of information within records & log books
  • Competent in all aspects of Access Control as per the Assignment Instructions & local Standard Operating Procedures, knowledge of H&S is critical

  • Clean Driving licence (if applicable to role)
  • Valid SIA DS and CSCS card required to work, CCTV and H&S qualifications desirable. Must be screenable to BS 7858 level, pass project on boarding, D&A test, comms test and site all inductions to be completed successfully for employment
