The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Security Control Center Training Coordinator. As a  Security Control Center Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and coordinating the control center’s contract security training program.  The SCC Training Coordinator develops and delivers training instruction, methods, resources and process improvements to maintain operational readiness for incident response and management.  The SCC Training Coordinator will work closely with the client’s leadership team to organize, facilitate, and document training activities and ensure continuous improvement through collaboration and identifying best practices. The SCC Training Coordinator will coordinate all training with the Site Supervisor.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Conduct training and monthly exercises for contract security team to maintain and improve operator proficiency and readiness
  • Routinely measure and assess the proficiency and effectiveness of the training being conducted to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Coordinate and track the training status and performance of trainees and experienced operators
  • Collect and maintain various training records, communications, incident action plans and post reviews for training events.
  • Collaborate with the client leadership establish and conduct ongoing training events for the contract security team
  • Use multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information and intelligence about training schedule and upcoming training events
  • Communicate and disseminate information, using established communication vehicles, to key partners using best practices
  • Take an active role in training related projects. The levels of responsibility will vary from consulting to owning training projects and their outcomes

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of 2 years of experiencing leading a training program within a large operations center environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, (including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Experience with multiple learning platforms and learning management systems

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be able to successfully complete all training required for the position
  • Must have experience with establishing training events and exercises
  • Must be able to motivate individuals to correct or improve training performance
  • Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong organization and planning skill
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:  Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling
