Job Introduction:

The primary focus of this position will be to assist with Business Development and Sales initiatives which include, but are not limited to, Salesforce, AQ, GP and Service Center database support, proposal development, presentation generation, lead generation efforts, tradeshow / tech show activities, collecting market data and provide overall administration support. G4S is looking for a bright, energetic, and self-starting professional with outstanding communications and interpersonal skills. The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines with excellent organizational and project management skills. A self-driven, independent thinking candidate with strong attention to detail will be highly considered.

Provides proper, accurate and efficient administrative support to the Sales Team in the Northwest (Bay Area & Seattle) and other supervisory staff as required. The position requires a high degree of confidentiality, integrity, and business acumen. All duties are performed in accordance with approved procedures, guidelines, and operating directives in effect.  Work will be performed as directed with minimal supervision and guidance.

Role Responsibility:

  • Provide Regional proposal coordination and support, as well as coordination with Corporate Project Development.
  • Track and keep updated required regional proposal documentation such as local resume’s, manufacturer certifications, city, county, and state licenses as well as local certifications (local business, city compliance documentation, etc).
  • Maintain and monitor list of city, state, and Public Works websites for bid projects.
  • Call campaigns to touch existing smaller customers (1F, non-program level customers).
  • Maintain / monitor expiring service contract / support agreements.
  • Point of contact for Contractor Tier projects (bidding EC’s and GC’s).
  • Customer coordination contact point.
  • Develop and manage Box Sale & eCommerce Campaigns.
  • Facilitate Manufacturer / Supplier Partner Product Demos & Pilots.
  • Track, report to and support Maintenance & Service Contract Administration & Renewals.
  • Inside Sales Support including Salesforce Admin & Reconciliation between AQ, SC & GP.
  • Assist with the planning, logistics, and follow-up for Tradeshows, Technology Event Management, Advertising, Direct Mail, Seminars, Webinars, etc. write pre and post tradeshow customer communications.
  • Generate necessary reports and complete administrative duties in a timely fashion and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist with research activities as required to compile successful vertical market clientele target lists and funding sources.
  • Support the sales and business development staff administratively as required, including providing support with expense statement creation and submission.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate existing and potential markets and services.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Observe and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Schedules and arranges meetings, appointments, conferences, travel, etc. Prepares agendas and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The applicant should possess or be pursuing a BS/BA degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration or a related field. This is an entry-level position, but 1-2 years’ experience in a business development or sales environment is helpful. An acceptable equivalency in education and applicable work experience may be considered for this position. The applicant should possess basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) software. The applicant must possess a valid driver’s license.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The applicant should be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written English language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports. The applicant should possess good customer service abilities along with refined grammar skills. The position may require significant interaction with other departments and external entities and must be handled in a professional manner.

REASONING ABILITY

The applicant should have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and to interpret a variety of technical and contractual information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
