The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Safety & Security Intelligence Analyst. The Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the safety and security team tasked with assessing and analyzing events that present a life safety or business impact to the organization. Analysts will utilize multiple sources to provide the security team, business continuity owners, facility managers, emergency responders and employees with real-time actionable intelligence and response recommendations. Analysts follow business driven standard operating procedures to ensure maximum organizational effectiveness. Analysts also perform security operational tasks including (but not limited to) access control management, alarm monitoring, critical incident communications, emergency response and investigation support.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Develop internal and external relationships with customers/clients to gain understanding and recognize their business intelligence requirements
  • Collect and validate intelligence, assess the credibility of source information and the reliability of sources of information
  • Collaborate and liaise with both G4S and client staff to collate the essential elements of intelligence to develop and provide a comprehensive view of the whole risk, threat or business landscape.
  • Deliver timely, accurate and easily digested briefings, formal reports to internal customers
  • Utilize various analytical techniques and procedures to understand and decode a wide range of intelligence information
  • Perform key security operational tasks such as access control management, alarm monitoring, critical incident communications, emergency response and investigation support

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to possess and maintain any/all licenses, certifications, certificates required by law

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Prior work or educational experience with software applications such as office tools, spreadsheets, documents.
  • Work history to include demonstration of the following:
    • Understanding of physical security best practices
    • Ability to easily understand and apply software manipulation, business logic
    • Ability to navigate and interface with other technology support organizations

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office/Control Center; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting or standing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
