Job Introduction:

We are seeking to recruit a Regional HR Advisor to cover a selection of our North East contracts.

We run large TFM contracts
We serve FM in Hospitals and Secure establishments
We provide FM services to Health and School buildings

Role Responsibility:

As HR Advisor you will form part of the HR team, providing support to the business in line with agreed service levels and standards of performance. The role is required to provide a full HR advisory and support service to management and employees based at site.

Reporting to the Regional HR Team Lead, you should be capable of:

  • Managing employee relations cases as appropriate (such as disciplinary, grievances, absence management, long term sickness, performance management, redundancy, flexible working requests and maternity, paternity and parental leave requests)
  • Supporting the Senior / HR Business Partner(s) with employee relations issues such as larger scale restructures, acquisitions, disposals and redundancies and TUPE
  • Supporting and advise on the recruitment and selection process
  • Managing and support projects for the HR department and Business as required
  • Reporting on and produce KPI / MI data
  • Liaising with the HR Helpline where needed, on data and case by case updates
  • Highlighting issues with a strategic, legal or employee relations impact to the Regional HR Team Lead
  • Supporting Regional HRBP in work winning process – for example, providing support at open days, supporting in the production of bid documentation, providing support to the mobilisation process
  • Actively contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives aimed at improving people management and business performance

The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed as an HR Advisor you must have:

  • Working knowledge of one functional area through job experience and training
  • Significant HR management experience
  • Understanding of all aspects of HR including employee relations, recruitment and selection
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels, ability to build and develop good quality professional relationships
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and without need for close supervision.


Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience of FM industry
  • Strong customer focus
  • Previously worked with unions
  • Good IT Skills
