Job Introduction:

We are currently looking for an experienced Legal Assistant based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  Reporting to the Legal Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing various legal and administrative supports to the Legal Counsel including but not limited to the following: 

Role Responsibility:

  • Ensure the legal review of all G4S standard contracts across the entire lifecycle and post award tenders.
  • Follow-up the Legal feedback provided on contracts (G4S and non-G4S) with opportunity owners to ensure closure of opportunity.
  • Ensure that all non-standard contracts have been reviewed by UAE Legal Counsel prior signing.
  • Ensure that contract requirements with respect to approvals and CRM policy are adhered to.
  • Ensure all contracts meet the Minimum Financial Controls requirements (those applying to Legal).
  • Ensure the Contracts Approval Form is circulated and signed by the relevant persons.
  • Document all deals and transactions (agreements, contracts, extensions, addendums etc.) to which G4S is a party to ensure that G4S interests are well protected.
  • Review RFPs Terms and conditions and liaise with the business in submitting qualifications.
  • Monitor any legislation changes.
  • Liaise with the local firms (External Lawyers) as and when needed.
  • Liaise with UAE courts/Police and other government bodies as and when needed.
  • Monitor the legal costs of the labour cases on Serengeti.
  • Monitor the debt collections court cases and all court cases where G4S is a party and liaise with the external lawyers.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager. 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Diploma /Degree in Law or relevant field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. 
  • Proven track record of consistently  achieving results
  • Good understanding of contracts management and contractual risk.
  • A high level of analytical skills, ability to reason logically and solve complex problems in an effective manner.
  • Good organization  and negotiation skills
  •  Preferably good knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • Good English and Arabic communication skills both written and verbal. 
  • Must have a valid UAE driving license.
