Job Introduction:

G4S Botswana seeks to appoint seasoned and dynamic  Finance professional to  support in transforming the organisation towards increased  growth, sustainability & profitability in accordance with the organisation's vision and strategic intent.

 

The Finance Manager will support objectives of Sales & Operational Planning and the Finance Function in-country. The successful candidate will assist in providing business wide decision support and maintaining a strong control environment  and ensure that design, governance and control testing targets are met.

Role Responsibility:

  • Assumes responsibility of financial matters to ensure achievement of the company's  financial performance targets;
  • Oversees the preparation of all financial reports (in-country and regional), outlooks and forecasts.
  • Lead and manage  the development, maintenance and improvement  of financial systems, compliance  with accounting  and  tax  legislation e.g.  IFRS, Tax  Return, etc.  ensuring  adequate  controls  throughout  the company;
  • Communicates  financial information, policies  and guidelines  in  order  to secure  business  understanding throughout the organization;
  • Develops and maintain relationships with external stakeholders;
  • Ensures internal controls and risk management processes are robust;
  • Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management  to support company's  goals and objectives;
  • Leads, directs, controls, and follows up on activities to achieve short and long-term operating objectives;
  • Co-ordinate year end and interim audit;
  • Submit of regulatory information and statutory returns;
  • Liaise with customers to ensure client expectations and services levels are been met with regard to billing, etc;
  • Address clients requirements and changes on ordering, invoicing, reporting and payment;
  • Manage debtor account reconciliation process;

  • Ensure staff are adequately trained in terms of new legislation, provide financial guidance and share expertise with staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant  Bachelor's   Degree   in  Financial  Management   or  Accounting    (postgraduate   Degree   highly advantageous);
  • Qualified CA. with strong IFRS and relevant tax legislation knowledge;
  • Pastel knowledge;
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence  platforms (MIS, SQL, SAP);
  • At least 6 years' experience in an accounting and reporting environment; senior management  experience  in Financial Accounting within Multinational will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment;
  • Demonstrated good leadership and management skills, and;
  • Decision support experience.
