As an Area Supervisor 4, you will responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned client facilities.  Generally, the Area Supervisor 4 will provide support to the area office and site supervisors, and ensure contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to the area as well as ensuring appropriate staffing.  The Area Supervisor 4 is the primary point-of-contact for all matters relating to each area facility and must coordinate closely with all operational, management, and administrative sections of the area office.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to his/her area
  • Participate and make recommendations in selection and placement of security personnel to contracts in his/her area.  Participate and make recommendations in progressive discipline and conduct performance appraisals of the same.
  • Ensure accurate entry of weekly labor and non-labor items into the designated payroll system, research and review payroll discrepancies.
  • Work directly with clients to ensure highest quality of service is provided
  • Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S
  • Perform operations related functions (e.g. review and maintain incident reports, issue uniforms, coordinate fleet vehicles, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Respond to calls from officers in the field to assist with incidents and to oversee/ correct reporting and relaying of information
  • Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers; May directly supervise security officers
  • Complete daily reports to ensure all field information is directed to the Operations Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, ACT 235 certification within 90 days of hire

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess three (3) years prior supervisory/management role for a security, law enforcement or related field
  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Other

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office with minimal work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC while sitting; telephone use; standing; walking; listening; speaking

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching
