Job Introduction:


The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an experienced Applicant Tracking System Specialist. As the Applicant Tracking System Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and providing support to system users by assessing issues, resolving minor issues, and escalating larger issues for management review. Your additional responsibilities will include minor system configuration changes, handling ad-hoc and standard report requests, conducting user training, and recommending enhancements and policy changes to meet regulatory requirements and enhancing usability.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Ensuring all job postings and related tasks are fully compliant with U.S. Department of Labor directives
  • Ensuring the proper requisitioning, formatting, and posting of all positions
  • Working closely with system users to ensure a user-friendly experience by identifying performance and system issues, trouble-shooting solutions and escalating major concerns
  • Creating new job posting templates and position screener questionnaires
  • Updating job posting templates and position screener questionnaires
  • Assisting with end-user ATS training
  • Working closely with the GSA to resolve identified performance and system issues
  • Proposing system enhancements based on user input
  • Assisting with job description development and coordinating applicant requisition and position code creation for field use

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of one year of experience in Human Resources, employee training, quality assurance or compliance
  • Prior work experience involving an Applicant Tracking System or a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Work experience must include the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various employee levels, from entry-level to senior management as well as outside vendors

Skills Required

  • Excellent writing skills and have the ability to produce excellent editorial and technical writing
  • Strong numbers orientation and attention to details
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Write informatively, clearly and accurately
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail


  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, light lifting, and limited stretching and reaching
