Michelle Hinson-Williams, Regional Compliance Manager, Tampa, Florida
Michelle worked as a contractor for the Department of Juvenile Justice, beginning in 1997. In 2001, she became a Program Director within a Juvenile Detention Facility, and was promoted to Executive Director of the facility in 2005.
In 2008, Michelle joined G4S Youth Services as Director of Case Management at the Columbus Residential Facility. After about a year in that position, she was promoted to Compliance Manager and eight months later was promoted to Regional Compliance Manager in 2010.
Michele works with the Regional Director to manage all compliance-related programs. Her main responsibility is to oversee six facilities in Florida to ensure compliance standards are met and prepare them for upcoming audits.
“We put the kids in our program and the employees who take care of them first. G4S provides their employees with the tools and the support they need to do their job,” Michelle said. She also likes that G4S promotes from within, which has helped advance her career.
The best advice Michelle would like to share with anyone looking to work with G4S Youth Services is to, “Be committed, the type of work we do requires a person who is passionate to help others. Work hard and your work will be recognized.”
