Chad Starwalt, Regional Vice President Southern Region, Houston, Texas

Chad served in the United States Army for three years and then as a police officer for two years in Illinois. When he was relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, Chad had applied for a job with the Nashville Metro Police and had also applied for a job with G4S. He got the job with G4S and quickly got promoted. By the time the Nashville Metro Police called Chad he was no longer interested in leaving G4S. “The potential here is just better,” he said.

Chad has been with G4S since 2001, and he has had an exceptional career path. He started as a Custom Protection Officer in Nashville, providing security for a regional court house. He was then promoted to Area Supervisor and later to Project Manager for the Nashville International Airport in 2002.

He went onto become the Operations Manager for the Nashville office in 2003. Chad relocated to Texas and became a Project Manager for the account of a large computer manufacturer in Austin. From there, he went on to become the General Manager for the Austin and San Antonio offices. After three years in that position, he became the General Manager for the Houston office in 2008. In 2009, he was promoted to District Manager for the Texas-Louisiana regions and became the Vice-President for the Southern Region in 2011.

As Regional Vice President,  Chad is responsible for all financial operations, sales, and growth for the region. He provides guidance to the General Managers in his region and looks to develop the talent of all those who work under him.

“G4S is full of opportunity and the people who work hard always get a chance to move ahead,” Chad said. His best advice, for anyone looking to be successful with G4S is, “To work hard, go above and beyond what is expected of you … learn about all the opportunities available throughout or company.”
